In the game "My Time at Portia", I've been facing quite a conundrum. I just can't seem to make a steel plate. I've gathered all the necessary materials, or at least I think I have. I've got the iron ore, and I've even smelted it into iron bars. But when it comes to making that steel plate, it's like hitting a brick wall.
I've checked my workstation over and over again. I'm sure it's supposed to be capable of making steel plates. I've talked to some of the other players in the game too. One guy was like, "Dude, it should be easy. Just make sure you have the right recipe." But I've double - and triple - checked the recipe, and it still doesn't work.
Maybe there's a bug in the game? I don't know. I've tried restarting the game a couple of times, thinking that might fix the issue. But no such luck. It's really frustrating because I need the steel plate for some of the later quests and building projects in the game.
Another thing is that I'm not sure if my character's skills are high enough. I mean, is there a certain level of crafting skill required to make a steel plate? I haven't been able to find a clear answer to that.
